Responsible gambling
Draws are only entertainment while they stay under control. Here you'll find warning signs, practical tips and where to get help.
GM Report and responsibility
GM Report does not run draws, sell entries or accept stakes. We only publish information – and that is exactly why we want to remind you that gambling always carries a risk of losing money.
Recognise the warning signs
- You spend more money or time than you intended.
- You try to win back money you have already lost.
- Gambling takes money away from essential costs, or you borrow to fund it.
- You hide your spending from the people close to you.
- Your thoughts keep returning to gambling, or it causes anxiety, sleep problems or arguments.
Ways to stay in control
- Set a monthly budget in advance and stick to it.
- Never use borrowed money or money set aside for bills.
- Take regular breaks – for example a few weeks with no entries at all.
- Use account limits and self-exclusion tools, as well as gambling payment blocks offered by your bank.
Where to get help
- Peluuri – free helpline 0800 100 101 and advice for players and their families (Finland).
- Mielenterveystalo – free self-help programmes for gambling problems (Finland).
- BeGambleAware / National Gambling Helpline – 0808 8020 133 (United Kingdom).
- GamCare – confidential support and advice (United Kingdom).
- GAMSTOP – self-exclusion tool for online gambling services (United Kingdom).
If the situation feels urgent or you are worried about your own or someone else's safety, call the emergency number 112.
Age limit 18+
In Finland, gambling is only permitted for adults. Although GM Report is purely an information service, the site is intended for people aged 18 and over.
